Gettin’ Ready!

So now that summer is upon us, it’s time for the wonderful WONDERFUL time in a persons life called PRESEASON!!!!!!!
Of course, being a Philadelphia Eagles fan, the first thing one has to do is look up their schedule for the infamous Dallas Cowboys games. Come on now, I bleed green and white!
However, like I had mentioned previously, I have family that are die hard Cowboys fans and check out the Dallas Cowboy travel packages every year. Of course, we ‘iggles’ fans make fun of them for it cause who would really like the Cow’girls’ anyway? However, they have a great time and really, this is all about the love of the game.
So readers, I ask you this… Who is your favorite NFL team?

You know, I realize that the economy really isn’t what it used to be. People are finding that they are not winning against the recession and jobs are lost everyday. However, there is a restaurant that was doing a great deal of business in the Northern Pennsylvania region that had their doors closed for no reason.
Why would you close a business in today’s economy and put close to 30 people out of a job? Granted, a wait job isn’t raking in the cash, but with the right clientele, you can really do well for yourself. They were doing right.
Thanks to the people who closed this place. In reality, you just made close to 90 peoples lives that much harder to live. Husbands. Wives. Children. Way to go.
To Go Or Not To Go

So my husband and I are deciding on whether we want to look into redecorating our place or moving. I know… both sides of the gamut. If we move, it’ll be to South Carolina. 10 hours away from home. If we stay and redecorate our home, I have to figure out just how I am going to acquire about 1000 more square feet of living space. We’ve lived there for almost 3 years now and I’m just starting to put up wall art and other home decorations.
It’s crazy… cost of living is just so different from here to there. Working from home is a plus too… however meetings with clients that I have would be difficult… I would be a Mason-Dixon line away…

Looking For It
by admin on Apr.16, 2009, under My Entries
So as the weather gets better, my sleeping habits seem to get worse. From Tuesday to Wednesday, I never slept. Thank goodness for the husband who let me sleep for a little on Wednesday afternoon. However that also meant that I didn’t sleep last night. I’m not sure what is going on… if it’s stress or something else is happening. I did have a Cortisone shot last week but that should not be the issue… At least not anymore.
So, while wide awake, I decided to do some internet browsing… You know me, the surfing queen! I am an addict to About.com. Not so sure why but everything I research usually leads me back to them. I was researching everything from Teenage Acne to the New Yankee Stadium… It’s addicting, and strangely fun!
Maybe that is why I’m up at all hours of the night.
Greek To Me…
by admin on Apr.02, 2009, under My Entries
I know, I know… I talk about my acne WAY too much… It’s just- I know that there are people out there going through the same stuff as I am and, even if I can help 1 person through this, it’s worth it. Besides, I’m not the only one who has ever had acne… In Ancient Egypt, it’s noted that several pharaohs were acne sufferers. Hello, just like ‘Gus’ in “My Big, Fat Greek Wedding”, everything comes from a Greek word. The Greek word ‘acne‘ means ‘point’ or ‘peak’.
So I am not alone…
I’m just glad that I don’t have to deal with the odd ways that people tried to cure their acne. Romans bathed in hot, sulfurous mineral baths. Even doctors in the 1800’s used sulfur masks to dry the skin (and make it smelly). Laxatives and even radiation were used as acne treatment! Gross!
Thank goodness that treating acne has become easier (and more healthier) then before…

Face Forward

Ah… Spring is arriving with full force… Everything is popping up with the new warm weather…
That includes my zits! Ugh! When the weather gets warmer, my acne gets so bad… maybe it’s because of the change in stress with work or even just because my face feels like it, it sucks.
I used to use a certain facial cleanser… you know, the ones that say that they are non irritating… I used to break out even more with them! They made my skin so dry and flaky and it really hurt! My husband was afraid to touch my face because it was so sensitive.
So, I was wondering around Internet life doing my research on acne and how to defeat it when I came upon a product that really opened my eyes. I never really knew that men and women have different types of acne! No wonder my face hurt! It thought I was a man! So I found a formula just for women and my acne is clearing up! No more heavy breakouts and my skin feels great!
Push Positive

I received this from a friend of mine in the transport business. We all know how tough times are and it’s nice to see some positives out there…
This is what really stands out to me… “Today the company is setting the standard for speed, reliability and personalized service for customized, one-on-one transportation solutions for clients with special handling needs. The company has developed special expertise in priority handling and worldwide transport of sensitive materials in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical/healthcare industries, such as medicines, blood specimens, cryogenic shipments, food, machinery and human organs for transport. Tea for Two…
by admin on Mar.05, 2009, under My Entries
So, we all know that I am pushing National Caffeine Awareness Month… why? because, I feel that we all consume too much caffeine in our lifetimes.
For instance… I am an avid tea drinker. I probably go through 5 cups of tea a day. Not because I need the high, but because I like the taste. I never really realized that tea has so much caffeine. I knew coffee did…
So, being a wife to a true Southern man, we have sweet tea at home but I am the only one who drinks hot tea. So I decided that I am going to switch our tea and go decaf! I decided to buy some new decaf tea and see if my husband could notice the difference… I bought Summer Refresher tea, brewed it while J was at work and chilled it. He LOVED it!!! Plus it was cheaper and better then the grocery brand el-cheapo teas.
So from now on, I’ll only buy the good stuff, and I’m not just talking about the taste either.
