So now that summer is upon us, it’s time for the wonderful WONDERFUL time in a persons life called PRESEASON!!!!!!!
Of course, being a Philadelphia Eagles fan, the first thing one has to do is look up their schedule for the infamous Dallas Cowboys games. Come on now, I bleed green and white!
However, like I had mentioned previously, I have family that are die hard Cowboys fans and check out the Dallas Cowboy travel packages every year. Of course, we ‘iggles’ fans make fun of them for it cause who would really like the Cow’girls’ anyway? However, they have a great time and really, this is all about the love of the game.
So readers, I ask you this… Who is your favorite NFL team?

A life divided by football.
You read that right. Little old me LOVES football. I am a die-hard Eagles fan. Good, Bad and Ugly all the way… I bleed green. My husband is a Carolina Panthers fan. When the mood strikes him, of course, but when the Panthers are doing good, I’m sure to be told about it. I didn’t marry him for his favorite football team though, I’ll tell you that much.
However, what hurts my heart (as my precious nephew F would say) is the 2 weekends a season that my team plays the ‘Boys from down South…
Yep… The Dallas Cowboys… *grumbles*
Now, if you worked where I used to work, you would have seen the line of division between the Eagles fans and the Cowboys fans. They wore their blue shirts and we wore our green shirts. Whomever won the game that night had bragging rights the next day (and usually decorated their workstations in various embarrassing pictures and quotes… for example, when the Eagles beat Dallas last season and T.O. was crying in the press conference, we has a blast decorating a fellow coworkers whole desk with cut outs of T.O.’s sad face… on his keyboard, his pens, his screen, his phone… everywhere) and it was all in good natured fun. We all would get riled up for the Dallas Cowboys games just as much as the Philadelphia Eagles games… and why not?!? It was good fun.
That’s nothing though compared to my family. Oy! When Christmas comes around and we have our Family Christmas Party, the lines are heavily crossed. I remember one year, the Eagles fans stood up and sang “Momma Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys” to the other side of the room. Granted, we were serenaded back with turkey gobbles, but I digress.
The ‘blue’ side of the family decided to take a trip down to Texas one year. So they looked up all of the Dallas Cowboys home games and chose the first Eagles/Cowboys game. Now, I’ve never been to an Eagles game or Dallas game, but from what I heard, they are both fun! They took a trip down there and now make a yearly trip of it. They’ve even started getting the Eagles fans to go with. If that’s not a sight, I don’t know what is.
Sure, our family isn’t perfect… whose is? However, it’s never without fun when game day rolls around.
